Security Deposit Made All The Difference

In early 2008, Teresa moved to Lake County from North Carolina. She had been a victim of the foreclosure crisis and moved to Lake County hoping to find work. She was homeless and living in her car when she came to Lifeline to apply for the Security Deposit Assistance Program in July 2008.

“Lifeline helped put a roof over my head,” Teresa said. “They made is possible for me to go to work because now I can shower in my own home and get a good night’s sleep.”

Lifeline’s Security Deposit Assistance Program was able to provide Teresa the financial assistance to help her move into her apartment which helped her transition to self-sufficiency. Today, Teresa is happily working and living in the home that Lifeline helped her move into.
